Additional house rules to keep in mind-No smoking or vaping of any substance, no calls outside the US on home phone, no parties, No drugs or illegal substances, no using home for filming any type of production, no otherwise illegal activities. No RV vehicles or motorcycles. Max of 4 vehicles in driveway. Please remember that this is a neighborhood where families have children and anything above normal noise in daily activities would be disruptive so please refrain from excessive noise. Do not remove anything from the walls. Please make sure all furniture is in the original placement when you depart. Please treat our home with care and respect and leave it in the condition that it was when you arrived. If you need access before 3pm just let me know in your message and we can work something out. Shops and restaurants are close by as well as grocery stores. This is a three story home and guests must be able to use stairs. I am available any time via cell phone and am close by if you need anything. There are no cameras inside the house. Family neighborhood nestled in the suburbs but minutes to tons of attractions, metro, restaurants and shopping. Located on one of the orginal farms belonging to George Washington, this property used to be part of the estate and Mount Vernon is minutes away. Close to Ft Belvoir, Pentagon, DC, as well as Navy Yard & Andrews Air Base. Your vehicle, metro, Uber or Lyft are perfect ways to get around here! Metro lines are a close 8 minute drive away. Huntington metro is the yellow line, and King Street is the blue line. You can park at either location and metro to downtown DC. Please see the WMATA website for more information. My driveway can accommodate up to four cars and there is street parking in front of my house as well. New Arlo security camera is installed at the front door. Outside kitty lives on deck but is shy. We appreciate you feeding her while you are here. Deck has furniture that seats 5 with new cushions a gas grill and an umbrella, area rug and lovely blooming plants in containers. Local ordinance laws on collecting the Transient Occupancy Tax have been enacted here effective October 1, 2018. I am required by law to collect an additional 6% tax on top of the nightly rate to remit to Fairfax County which is listed as the "community fee" on my listing. Upgrade! All new furniture, bedding, linens, towels for your enhanced comfort. NOTE: There are three beds that are air mattresses. One is a queen and two are twin beds. The queen mattress is in a large family room in the basement with an adjacent full bathroom and is suitable for a family with young children or teenagers. The twin air mattresses are located in the study on the second floor with the other bedrooms. They were originally in the basement but several guests moved them upstairs and liked it that way. I do live in this home with my children, and we keep our things here. There is closet space available in the upstairs bedrooms only.
