Are you looking for a quiet, relaxing experience away from the hustle and bustle of the typical tourist location in St Lucia? Are you interested in an authentic, local feel with the comforts and amenities of home? Look no further than The Oasis. Tucked away in a small village, you will enjoy a rural, calming atmosphere. Watch goats and chickens trot past while you drink freshly brewed tea on the veranda. Come home after a long day of sight seeing to enjoy the healing sounds and feel of nature. The Oasis is a bright and comfortable 3 bedroom apartment with high ceilings and a unique feel. It is decorated with original artwork, including a large, colorful mural in the living room painted by the talented Syd Veverka. It is on the second floor with a veranda to enjoy the sights and the breeze, and I live right downstairs so I'm easily available to help you enjoy your stay. NB This is not a quarantine-approved facility and all guests booking will be required to show that they have completed the Government of Saint Lucia quarantine requirements (if required) before their booking can be approved. You will have access to one of the 3 bedrooms which includes a closet and queen-sized bed. The rest of the space (living room, kitchen, bathroom, veranda) will be shared with any other guests who may be staying (up to 4 others). This is an LGBTQ friendly space that is especially well-suited for artists, nature lovers, and adventurers. Ask me about hiking, kayaking, and fishing at the rarely visited north-Atlantic shores of the island (a scenic, 40 minute walk from the Oasis). Join me for a local art or dance class. I know the area very well and can connect you with whatever you are looking for. The Oasis is committed to sustainable, eco-tourism practices. I will be as available as you wish. As a world traveler who fell in love with St Lucia and decided to stay, I can offer a unique and helpful perspective. I can also put you in touch with affordable, nature-based activities and products that you may not otherwise have access to. I would love to take you on a hike, to a yoga or dance class, or to any of my favorite spots around the island. Monchy village is quaint and quiet. The main square has free wifi and a bus stop into Castries with access to Rodney Bay. There is also a Catholic church, a wellness center, a library, a small supermarket and other local vendors with basic necessities. The neighbors are very friendly and will probably encourage you to come join them for a drink at one of the neighborhood favorite spots like "Crazy Bar Country Western Bar" just across the street. Or maybe the school children will convince you to play some football with them on the field just behind the apartment. You will get an authentic St Lucian experience here at the Oasis. A bus from Castries will drop you just down the road (5 min walk) where I can meet you. If renting a car (I can help you with this) there is street parking available. There are also hikes within walking distance from the apartment. Pick ups from the airport can be arranged with a certified tourism operator and there is also an option of arranging a taxi. We provide covid certified taxi services if required at competitive rates for airport transfers, shopping, exploring, and more.
