For excitment, you are merely minutes away from many adventures that await your experience in Costa Rica. It is a true pleasure to now share our new AirBnB home, located in El Castillo, Costa Rica, with you. The name of our home was derived from the unique way the mist rises from the rain forest floor. Located at an elevation of (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) feet, you get a true sense of viewing the forests from above the tree canopy where the beauty of its nature captivates all senses. All rooms have spectacular views with picture windows and doors for your own privacy. En suite bathrooms include spacious garden showers for a complete jungle experience. You are surrounded by beautiful gardens and pastures where you will find horses grazing to help entertain you as you sit on the lovely outdoor porch with your morning coffee. You are invited to explore and enjoy this quiet secluded house and property which includes our very own waterfall and swimming hole at the river's edge, which is an easy hike to the base of the property. Enjoy horses grazing, along with the local wildlife that arrives most unexpectedly but a joy to see! Hello! My name is Kelly, FayBecca's property manager. It will my pleasure to host you here in El Castillo. Please contact me using my (Hidden by Airbnb) numb (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) when you are getting close to El Castillo. Due to where we are located, you will meet me at my little restaurant La Ventanita Cafe, and from here we will go up together to Mystic View. I would recommend that you use Waze to navigate here in Costa Rica. NOTE: We do not recommend driving at night if you can avoid it. If your travels have you arriving late in the afternoon, it would be best for you to stay overnight, either in San Jose or Liberia, whichever city you arrive in. Please call me so that I know you have arrived. If you have any questions on things to do or about the home, feel free to contact me and I'll get back to you soon as possible. Look forward in welcoming you this new year. Pura Vida, Kelly We are a part of a community of Ticos and Gringos, mostly from the US. Our community is located next to a working farm with horses and livestock. There is horseback riding, walks to our very own private waterfall and beautiful area hiking trails near the river. Lake Arenal is very close with boating and other activities. El Castillo also has a variety of great local restaurants for your enjoyment. We highly suggest renting a 4-wheel drive vehicle during your stay. We recommend Adobe Rent a Car for the best pricing on a rental car. The road to Mystic View is rocky and uphill most of the way...we do not recommend hiking this road. We are located at the top of the ridge and end of the road. You will experience a true Costa Rican adventure staying at Mystic View with the luxuries of a new home with modern amenities. This is a very secure neighborhood with safe parking that is very private. It is a small town and everyone looks out for one another. IMPORTANT NOTE: Occasionally, due to our location in the heart of the rainforest, unexpected natural events may happen which, unfortunately, is beyond our control, i.e. due to heavy rain, mudslides and trees down may impair roads in and out of the area, Parrot Hill shares a freshwater spring aquaduct with us and our neighbors that may require maintenance because of a broken pipe or some other situation. This may result in the water being turned off for a short period of time. Also, because there is a chance for downed trees, the electricity may go out temporarily until repairs are made to fallen lines. These incidents are not frequent but when they happen it is BEYOND OUR CONTROL and hopefully will not interfere with your stay at our home. Just be aware that if any of the above happens, that there are dedicated people that are in the process of fixing the problem in a timely manner. We have found that this is a great time to go for a hike or go do some other fun activity and by the time you return, everything is back to normal. (Website hidden by Airbnb) normal as it can be in the rainforest :)
