Palomino (La Guajira) has become an amazing travel destination in Colombia. - Do You know why? Because of its beautiful beaches, rivers, landscapes, food and relaxing atmosphere. If you are looking for a relaxed and chilled atmosphere with likeminded travelers, Palomino is the place to be. Palomino is in the north of Colombia, in the Guajira state which is between the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Caribbean Sea. Its people are a mix of; Caribbeans, Sierra Nevada’s indigenous tribes such as Kogi, Arhuaco, Wiwa and Kankuano, Colombians of all different regions along with people from around the globe. Palomino is a beautiful and cosy place, with different sights to visit. Palomino has two rivers which flow from the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, along with beautiful beaches and mouthiness terrain which offers numerous adventurous activities. Also available in Palomino are different stores and restaurants that are located around the town. Everything is conveniently close so you can do everything by walking or you can hire a motorcycle-taxi service. From Cartagena to Palomino. The best way to get transportation is from Cartagena’s bus terminal. The best companies in the market are; Brasilia and Copetran. The key is to buy a ticket from Cartagena to Riohacha and get off in Palomino (it is a middle point between those cities). From Santa Marta to Palomino. You can find buses to Palomino at three different locations in the city: •The first one is “Mercado Central” – Central Market, located on 10th street – “Calle 10”. •The second option is a place called “Mamatoco”, this is a bus stop located at the exit of Riohacha. •The third option is the (Santa Marta’s bus terminal). It’s about a 2-hour trip where you will enjoy the nature and small towns along the way. From Riohacha to Palomino, you must go to Rioacha’s bus terminal. There you will find buses with Palomino’s destination. It’s about a one-and-a-half-hour trip. We have parking space available if you want to visit us with your car
