Guest cabinas are a short distance (30 meters) from the over-sized open-air “Rancho”, our outdoor living area that gives you the tropical “Glamping" experience! Overlooking a large vanishing edge pool it has a private honor bar (we pre-stock local beers, micro-brews, various sodas, bottled cocktails if you like), a professional billiards table, dining & lounge area. Here you can enjoy long, lazy days lounging - taking in the views, spying on the wildlife, and enjoying the pool that makes you feel like you are floating over the Pacific. A small but ample kitchen and a full-sized professional Weber grill make preparing meals a breeze. You can buy fresh veggies on the beach at LocosCocos when the trucks come thru from the farmers market and the local grocery stores have all the basics to prepare all types of snacks and meals. Pre-shopping services are available and a map of major markets, liquor outlets, and organic markets will be provided prior to your arrival in the country. We are unable to offer our typical sit-down breakfast at this time due to Covid but, we can have Costa Rican Coffee, Gallo Pinto, and Fruit Platters prepared and waiting with advance planning at very reasonable rates. Decks, daybeds, and hammocks abound for impromptu naps as you snooze with the sound of the surf crashing below on San Miguel. At night, let them be the seats to your own personal planetarium for unforgettable star gazing! Cristal Azul is your home away from home, and we are here to help with any special requests or needs. Guests are welcome to join us for lunches and sunset dinners at our beach "snack shack", LocosCocos which is listed in Lonely Planet as the #1 Beach Bar in Costa Rica! Henner will gladly set you a table on the edge of the surf so you can dine under the canopy of the stars! As we plan and confirm your stay, we can assist with meals as little or as much as you like or you can use the simple kitchen and grill. Guests can run a tab throughout their stay at LocosCocos and many often order family-style meals daily to enjoy in the privacy of the rancho! There is plenty of light adventure to enjoy guided or unguided and our proximity to Samara & Mal Pais offers excellent day trip excursions. This is not a walking destination, guests must have their own 4x4 vehicles which I will gladly help you rent with discounted rates.
