Amík'así Cottage

Turrialba, the hospitality and adventure valley, awaits you! In this case, local hosts offer you their new cottage in between gardens and nature that they have planted on their own. As you can see in our pics, in the property you can exercise (small soccer field, basketball court, walk around), rest in the quiet rooms with comfortable beds or just relax in the terraces in your own way. We also have plenty of information of things to do in Turrialba and its surroundings. In 2010, we -Martínez Fumero family- started a small proyect: plant trees and different plants in our property. After many time spent working on the land, we decided to make a small place to invite family and friends, and that's when we made the barbecue place. After that, came the small soccer field, the basketball court and the different short pathways around the property. Then the gardens, maintaining the land clean and picking up fruits from the trees we planted. Finally, in 2017, we decided to construct a house to move into the property to enjoy the sound of silence and the clean air, just 5-10 minutes from Turrialba downtown. Finally, we made your second home: Amík'así Cottage, which you can enjoy in many ways, but please, feel at home. Guests have the possibility to use the entire cottage with its two terraces, as well as the small gardens, shady places to sit, use the football field and the basketball court. In addition, you can visit our small vegetable farm, where you can learn about our hydroponic growing system. In addition, a small ranch is available for barbecue, yoga and any other related activity. Since we live just some meters away from the cottage, we are available for anything the guests need; in case the guests don't require our services, we give them the space and independence that they like. Surrounded by green area, with views of the Turrialba Volcano! The last route (about 500 meters) is a ballast road, which can be traveled in any type of car but a high or 4x4 car is preferable. We offer you low cost rides to Monumento Nacional Guayabo, Irazu Volcano, Aquiares Waterfall, Las Trillizas and la Muralla Waterfalls, La Marta Wildlife refugee, as well as direct contacts with rafting agencias (Pacuare River). Also, we can pick you up from and take you to Juan Santamaria National Airport and Puerto Viejo, Limon.
