Welcome! We made our historic house into a duplex to provide privacy for both ourselves and our guests. The bnb enjoys the covered porch, and front door entry to a private living space. The bnb includes a comfy den, open kitchen, two dining areas, two queen size bedrooms, and full bath. As hosts, we use a side entry, and keep to our own adjoining and quietly walled off areas of the house. Our residence includes its own kitchen, bath and living spaces, so the bnb is all yours! It’s my goal to provide you with as safe, clean and comfortable a stay as possible. This home is 100 yrs old. Deer and foxes come by regularly. The river is close and can be heard when it swells in the spring. There are no shared spaces. I welcome meeting you, and/or respect the space as yours if you prefer. I’ve been a carpenter in the area since moving here in 2000. I play Celtic guitar. If you happen to play or enjoy Celtic music especially let me know! You’re invited to join me with a round of golf here. During your stay I should be available either on the property or by cell. The neighborhood has no official historic designation but could. This house was started in 1919, and since then has had only three owners. The old schoolhouse (last operating in the 1930’s) is across the street. Five log cabins each over 100 yrs old and largely unrestored are nearby. There is virtually no traffic in spite of being so close to downtown. Nice and quiet. Two to three blocks from downtown, an easy walk or drive.
