Temperature limitation during winter time: The temperature of the apartment is controlled by the thermostat on the floor there-above (main floor of the house), which is the only thermostat provided to control the temperature of the whole house. Thus, the operation mode of the HVAC (i.e., the central air system) is triggered/controlled by the contemporaneous temperature of the main floor, which does not fully reflect the temperature situation of the downstairs apartment.
