A stay at the quiet farm (chickens and geese aren't noisy, are they?) will leave you refreshed. We have a very large room, a nice garden view, a comfortable bed, a work desk, books to read. An adjoining private bath gives you all the space you need! We welcome business people (work-at-home), providing a workspace, wifi, and other amenities; however, due to animals and other reasons, we are unable to allow "self-check-in". Please let us know, and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs! Stay at an organic farm, where we raise vegetables, baby goats, and chickens (fresh eggs). We have horses, a donkey, a sheep and dogs and cats (no allergies, please!). You will have the "master bedroom/bath", with a newly remodeled bathroom, kitchen privileges, and of course, the great outdoors. We are located nearby Copper Meadows Equestrian Training Facility (with limited hotels in Ramona, please ask if you have special requests, or need to accommodate horses...) Located near the gold mine town of Julian, great shopping, and local antique stores galore, San Diego offers it ALL. Less than 10 miles to the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park. Beaches, mountains, great views, open spaces, and San Diego Nightlife within an hour...this is a great home to share for a few days, or stay for a while in the country. Our "neighborhood" is very quiet - the only noise that you hear are the roosters bragging, or our donkey. You can enjoy the patio, walk on private paved roads or trails, or drive out to great hiking sites such as Iron Mountain or Volcan Mountain. If you enjoy casinos, there are several nearby, including Barona Mesa Indian Reservation, and others within an hour or so. NOT TO BE MISSED: Julian, antique shops, and Julian apple pie!! #copperMeadows #julianCA My favorite Review: "...run a small organic B&B farmstead unlike any other… I enjoyed staying in their well built vintage two-story ranch house from the 50s, practically a national treasure nestled in the heart of Ramona’s apple and wine country. It features full picture windows, vintage wooden knotty paneling, oversized polished wood shelving and a full-sized pool table in the basement. Delightful animals range freely along surrounding terrain and include baby goats, lambsy-divey baby sheep prancing up the pathways, and big wooly looking bales that are actually giant sheep pasturing on a mix of greens – all accompanied an array of colorful farm birds. Swan, duck and goose goslings join in a dance around giant fanned-tailed turkeys. It’s a setting visitors are sure to enjoy highlighted by San Diego County’s sunny weather. Highly recommended for extended stays!" Response from Tera Lea: Thank you, for such a delightful description! I'm not sure we have swans... but we love the description of the bales of sheep... perhaps they need a diet! We hope to see you next time! This space is suitable for work, work travelers. For your safety and safety of the animals, we do not allow 'self check-in'. We do everything we can to accommodate requests, so please ask if you have special arrangements. Full Access to kitchen, common areas like the living room and den, big screen for DVD's, game room, internet/WiFi. We interact as much or as little as you like. Since this is a "working" farm, you can pitch in, sit and enjoy the views, or explore the local communities! We are normally around, but you will also have privacy, as you desire. Peaceful town of Ramona is in the lower mountain area of San Diego - above the "fog" line, and we get plenty of sunshine! "Valley of the Sun" is the town nickname. Formerly "Nuevo" (or New Town), Ramona is named after a character in a Helen Hunt Jackson novel. Visits to the local antique shops, and the nearby community of Julian, are worth the drive! #CopperMeadows #RamonaCruiseNightThursday #BaronaCasino Renting or having a car is essential. The public transit bus runs on "demand", but not on a regular schedule. Airport car service is $expensive. Bus will take 2-3 hours to get downtown (a 45-60 minute trip by car). Directions will be provided, and we recommend that you try to arrive during the daylight hours. We strongly support the military and Veterans, and will offer a discount if requested. We will consider longer term stays for all military and veterans. Please ask. Also, for families, we can make special accommodations using a second bedroom next to the master bedroom. Please inquire, and we will do our best to work something out.
