Or if you just tired and you need safe and peaceful place to recharge. With board games, arts and crafts, books and even set of natural essential oils to enjoy. In front of Guesthouse we have BBQ and fire pit with fire wood and the picnic table for you to enjoy it. This is really unique beautiful place. This Retreat Guest House runs with solar and wind energy, and only source of heat is the fireplace running by wood. We provide the wood. It's an open concept with one bedroom which has comfy queen bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a hammock for you to relax next to a cozy Italian wood stove and a functional bathroom. If you stay with us you will have a full nature experience, since a lot of animals live around us, you might see in the property moose, deer, foxes, porcupines, rabbits, bald eagles, owls. Absolutely NO Hunting. If you come from a big city, we encourage you to go out and look at the stars, it is a breathtaking experience you can enjoy at our place. This property counts with 3km of private driveway. The guesthouse is has its own private entrance. In the Winter: You will have direct access to snowmobile trails, 3 km from the Guesthouse by our driveway. You can go snowshoeing in the property. We have 2 pair of snowshoes for you to enjoy. In the Summer: You can go hiking in the property Inside the property you can pick mushrooms, wild blueberries, wild raspberries , sea buckthorn (superfood) . You can also go bird watching in the property if you desire to. You can make bonfires (weather permitting ), we provide the wood. Our own private home is located next to the guest house but don't worry you will have your own privacy, we are friendly and welcoming to our guests. We are surrounded by farms, so you can go to the Strawberry and Blueberry Upick if it is the right season or pick apples from the orchard in the fall. Not far from us you can go and visit the fishermen Villages of Cocagne and Grand-Diegue (15 min away) where you can find nice restaurants, go the beach and pick your own mussels in the summer or just enjoy the ocean scenery. Parking is free. Solar Energy System The guest house is run by solar and wind power. Please, after 10pm until morning don't use TV and extra lights. But there is enough energy to charge your phones or your laptop with no problem. Thanks for understanding. Heating Source. New wood stove is only heater source. It mean our guests putting wood logs in to the stove by themself. Firewood provided for free. Septic System The guest house counts with a septic system which is also run by green energy. Entertaiment We provide boardgames,arts, crafts, books, set of natural essential oils, DVD's and a TV set with a DVD player. Gas Stations The closest Gas Stations are in Notre Dame Kent County (route 115) 15minutes or Cocagne (highway 11) 15 minutes as well as convenient stores. Stores close to us: In Shediac (25 min) there is Sobeys and NB Liquor and a Cannabis Store. In Saint- Antoine ( 20 min) there is a Independent Store, NB liquor Store that closes at 11 pm. Pets Unfortunately we don't allow pets since we have a friendly Australian Shepperd dog, and we don't know how he will react being around other animals. Thanks for understanding. Cooking meals. If you just want to relax and not worrying about cooking or tired of eating restaurant food, we can cook your meals for you, we can do full meals or simple snacks like sandwiches or wraps, with an extra fee.
