Additionally, we feature customized guided and self-guided bicycle tours (complete with bikes) highlighting the historic and natural beauty of the North Shore of Long Island and points east, while staying in a bike themed Inn located adjacent to the Mill Pond, the Stony Brook Grist Mill and Avalon Park and Preserve. We invite you to stay with us, tour with us and explore. At The Stony Brookside, you will have access to one of the prime homes in the historic district in Stony Brook Village. You will enjoy scenic views of the Grist Mill and Avalon park with an abundance of bird activity for extra entertainment. The well appointed breakfast room is always filled with snacks and coffee or tea for your round the clock enjoyment. All village restaurants and shops are across the street and just a short 2 minute walk. The town beach is further down the road and a short 5 minute walk, all from our doorstep. Feel free to use us as your personal concierge, as we are experts in what is available near or far for your local entertainment. Stony Brook Village is a historic location on a harbor with a local beach nearby. When visiting the village you will be able to walk to many shops, restaurants or museums. Additionally there is a local winery and many beautiful hiking trails to explore. There is no shortage of available options in which to enjoy the beauty of nature. The Stony Brookside is located about 1 mile from the Long Island Railroad station, an easy walk, taxi or Uber ride. Additionally, we can provide bicycles for all of our guests that would like them.
