Trees, Lake and cabin
One of six classic Maine cabins, you will love to stay here. The smallest one is like a tree house. It has a screened in porch with view of garden, lake and forest, kitchen, full bath with shower, 2 twin beds. You'll be able to enjoy the lake for swimming, boating (canoe, kayak, row boat), fishing. Min nights during July and August 7 (Sat.-Sat); May, June, September, October: 2; This is a vintage cabin from the 1930, the heyday for sporting camps and family summer camps. As soon as you enter it you are transported back into a different era. The kitchen has basic equipment, you have a porch with table and chairs and a full size bath. This cabin is one of six but is situated well away from the others and affords great privacy. I great our guests when they arrive and check in on them daily to ascertain that all their needs are met. We're away from the summer crowds but lobster pounds, restaurants, hiking trails, quintessential New England towns and lighthouses, as well as museums are withing a short drive. Many of our guests stay in our cabins to discover the Greater Maine outdoors, e.g. Acadia National Park. There is no wi-fi, TV or radio but we offer board games, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards to keep you entertained once you break away from swimming and boating. Our guests are thrilled to reconnect with their partners and children in a meaningful way without the electronic trappings that keep us often separated on a deep level. However, we do have great cell-phone service.
