Magnolia Suite AKA the room with THE view. Private bathroom en suite Relax in our famous & historic Victorian B&B where your enjoyment and comfort is our priority. A fully restored home with all modern amenities. Enjoy great locally sourced food prepared by a wonderful cook every day. You may recognize this house from "Groundhog Day" where Bill Murray stayed. Same house yet anything but stuffy and repetitive! Take a self guided Groundhog Day Walking Tour. We are not your typical B&B. Outgoing and lighthearted hosts are happy to make you feel at home in a luxuriously restored Victorian house full of modern amenities. 4 guest rooms are on the second floor and are ensuite with cable and smart TV's. 1 first floor ensuite with private entrance. Delectable sit-down breakfast served at 9 am. Weekdays you can explore the cafés & diners in town. You are invited to enjoy all of the rooms on the first floor as well as the outside areas. Grab a hot drink and baked good to sit on the wrap-around porch or picnic on the lawn. All are welcome! We will not hover, but available as needed. We live in a separate apartment on the 3rd floor. Please let us know if you need complete privacy at any time. We enjoy getting to know our guests but respect your space. Maid service available upon request. Our team will cook for you every morning at 9 am. Brunch upon request. We have our liquor license for wine selections & Mimosas, Bloody Mary's and Bellini's can be ordered with breakfast or an evening cocktail with cheese trays. You are invited to enjoy all of the rooms on the first floor as well as the outside areas. Grab a drink and a baked good to sit on the wrap-around porch or picnic on the lawn. You can expect to find us around the house in the morning and usually the kitchen until 11am after breakfast cleaning. We don't want to impose, but we love meeting new people. You are welcome to join us for a game or chat while we cook. If privacy is what you came for, we will ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We live on the 3rd floor with a private stairway & entrance so we don't enter B&B unless needed. There is always something to do in Woodstock! A short walk puts you in the heart of the Town Square where you will find delicious eateries, specialty shops and fine drinks. Stop by the Old opera House for a show. There is an event every week around town. Enjoy the Farmers Market Tues and Sat for live music and fresh season items as well as gourmet specialties. Community guides are provided for you. Take a self guided Groundhog Day Walking Tour through all the notable movie filming locations. We have the maps! In February you can enjoy an entire week of events that emulate the movie’s popular scene’s. Tour ends at our house with hot drinks and treats. From O'Hare International Airport you can take the 10 minute train ride to Jefferson Park and transfer to the Metra (Yellow Line) then enjoy the 75 minute trip to Woodstock. We will gladly pick up guests from the train depot down the street. We are a quick walk to all local shops and eateries. There are several taxi and transportation services. A bus stop is around the corner. Park in the lot on your right as soon as you pull in the gates. Carry your luggage up the porch stairs & through the house. Rolling bags damaged our stairs & porch & entryway. Door code given at check in. Don't turn the deadbolt! Please take off shoes if they are wet or messy. These are all original floors.
