Our treehouse is a serene location perfect for a relaxing getaway. Ideally located in the Green Mountain National Forest, this treehouse is perched just uphill from our beaver pond, you will experience a unique opportunity to soak in the beauty of the Green Mountains. Located between Killington and Sugarbush you will have plenty to do while still being isolated. Between the cozy bed and in-house massage therapist you probably won’t want to leave anyway. Make sure to check out our new treehouse! From the treehouse platform you can cozy up, relax, and watch the beavers in their pond below or go be adventurous in the forest. After you park your car, you will get to walk along the path and across the beaver creek bridge and down the path some more until you come across the treehouse nestled in the forest just uphill of the beaver pond. We can drive you and your stuff out to the treehouse when you arrive. We are usually home working on things so feel free to stop by after check in if you have any questions. The wife is a massage therapist who uses a different treehouse on the premises for work and offers her massage services to guests at a discounted rate. Our neighbors include the Green Mountain National Forest and the Hancock river! But we do have local places and fun things to do from hiking trails to skiing at Killington, Sugarbush, or the snow-bowl, fishing and hunting in the local areas, art and food in nearby Rochester, and breweries in Middlebury! Personal vehicles, bikes, and hiking boots are the best way to get around up here. Please make sure to read the entire description, if this treehouse does not sound good to you then make sure to check out our other treehouse because it has more amenities; the Sugar Maple Treehouse. While we tried to make this as easy to access as possible, some walking will be involved to get to the treehouse. With the treehouse being located in a forest the walking path can be a bit muddy or snow covered so please bring appropriate footwear. Just down hill from the treehouse is a fire pit with a bench, slightly uphill from the treehouse is a grilling area with a propane fueled grill, a table, and cooler. We expect to clean the treehouse after each guest so there is no cleaning fee, but if you leave a mess we will contact you and ask for a cleaning fee. We love animals and enjoy when guests gets to bring theirs! We just do not like cleaning up after those furry family members so we are asking for you to bring a bed or blanket for the furry one to sleep on. We do have a fee of $20 per day per pet for normal wear and tear. Airbnb is set up to charge you for the first night, but any more nights will be added manually. This fee does not include any extra cleaning or damage to the treehouse. If you bring a pet with out telling us a head of time, we will add on $50 since we use different linens when pets are visiting and won’t be able to change them out on your arrival. (I do apologize if this sounds over the top in anyway, a few bad apples are why we had to implement such things). The treehouse is equipped with a heater powerful enough and enough insulation to keep the space warm during the coldest of winter nights in Vermont. Please let us know your estimated time of arrival on arrival day so I know when to come down from the trees and keep an eye out. Showing up without giving me a heads up could cause up to an hour wait time until I can get you checked in since I could be in the middle of a project in the forest. We try to be as accommodating as possible by having a 4 hour check in window, if you want to check in out side of that time frame we will do so to the best of our abilities at a charge of $30 per hour to make up for lost work. The bathroom consists of a composting toilet which is on the same treehouse platform but is not heated nor is it attached. The outdoor shower is seasonal, it shuts down for the winter once we get a frost and opens in the spring as soon as the temperature allows. We will bring your belongings out to the treehouse upon your arrival but can not guarantee help bringing them out on check out since we both work in the mornings. We want to make sure everyone who visits our treehouse knows what they are booking by reading the description and not just just our glowing reviews because the experience at our treehouse is not for everyone. To indicate that you have read all of this please include your favorite type of tree when you message us!
