Situated along the “Top of the Rockies Scenic Byway,” with Independence Pass, one of the highest paved passes in the state, just up the road; any direction you happen to glance you will find ways to play and an profusion of natural beauty here in Twin Lakes Colorado. This area is amazing for running, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, rafting, fishing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. The naturally formed glacial lakes are surrounded by mountains over 13,000 feet high. This setting provides a spectacular backdrop for a wide variety of recreational opportunities.
