Breathtaking ocean views await you! Very unique Beach House which, designed specifically for hosting Guests, faces south over the wide open Atlantic Ocean...enjoy both sunrise and sunsets over the water! We have been operating since 1996 as Tourist accommodations and are licensed by Nova Scotia Tourism, inspected and rated 4 out of 5 stars by Canada Select. The addition we built onto the side of our Beach House can accommodate up to 18 overnight Guests. It is a perfect spot for family reunions or group get-togethers. The beauty of our place is that it is divided into individual Suites so people can have their privacy and peace and quiet (soundproofing between suites) yet there is also a common area (with hot tub & pool table) where they can get together for socializing, if and when they wish. Each suite has its own separate outside and inside entrance so everyone can come and go as they please without disturbing others. Each suite can accommodate 4 people with a queen bed and either a queen or double sofa bed. There is one suite which also has an adjoining room with a double futon so that unit can actually accommodate 6. Each suite has an ensuite bathroom with either a whirlpool tub or a soaker tub/steam bath & shower. There are fully equipped kitchenettes in each suite along with a sitting area with a fireplace, TV, VCR & DVD player. Most Suites have their own decks overlooking the ocean and hundreds of acres of beautiful coastal scenery in the adjacent provincial parkland. (The Suite on the ground floor does not have as nice a view as the ones on the 2nd floor, however, it is great for people who have difficulty with stairs and for little children for the same reason.) Guests enjoy the privacy of their own suite but also the option of using the Common room which features a large hot tub, a pool table, cozy conversation area around the fireplace, books, movies and board games. A great place to gather! We live onsite in our separate living quarters so are here to make sure everything runs smoothly...but we also respect your privacy...After welcoming Guests for almost 20 years now, we think we have developed a good balance between the two; privacy and friendliness, at least, that's what our Guests tell us ;-) Our Beach House is located on a private laneway with just 5 other houses. It is directly on Lawrencetown Beach and abuts the provincial parkland which means we overlook hundreds of acres of beautiful coastal scenery. It is a rural, coastal area but also centrally located for taking day trips, close enough to the city to take advantage of all the history, culture, dining, shopping, entertainment, etc. but in a peaceful setting that will make you feel like you are miles away from civilization. Bus service is not available but taxi or rental cars can be arranged from Halifax or at the airport or train station. We are pleased to share our knowledge of the local area, as well as other areas of the Province to provide you with suggestions and directions to many interesting things to see and do. Lawrencetown Beach area is world famous for surfing so if you want to try it, there are several local spots to rent gear and arrange lessons. But, even if you don't care to surf, you can be guaranteed that there will be waves to watch and keep you mesmerized.
