Altar is a unique floating house experience that starts from a principle: There, technology will be available to help you to break up with your mobile phone, and commune with yourself, and also with those you love and the nature around you. Altar lies at the foot of the Mantiqueira Mountain, the place where design blends with nature. Altar is the prototype of a house off-the-grid, floating on the Jordanopolis dam, nowadays considered as one of the cleanest in the country. The highest dam in the region, the Jaguariuna is known for its clean and healthy waters. It is there, at the foot of the Serra da Mantiqueira, that we put to float Altar, our first experience of temporary housing. Altar minimalist and cozy interior is an invitation to spend quality moments with those you love, relaxing in front of the fireplace, contemplating the stars, rocked by the soft undulation of water. The altar was conceived to blend with nature. The house runs on solar-powered autonomous systems that can provide fresh water, total energy needs, waste and water treatment. We can also offer a mentoring of local experiences , ranging from trips on foot or horseback, tasting the best of regional gastronomy to total guest isolation, just let us know what is the thing that will please you most. We can also help you to break from your digital world, offering off-the-grid experiences surrounded by nature. The main purpose there is your reconnecting with what really matters, having a wonderful time. As you know, offering such an unusual stay would not be possible without our partners, artists, designers, and craftsmen who have brought to the house a bit of their world and expertise. The local producers will make available by the pier their organic products, award-winning cheeses, homemade beers, sweets and much more. Altar has a usable area of 38 m2, plus an external deck area of 26m2., totaling a gross area of 64m2. The usable area has a double bedroom, living room, bathroom, kitchen integrated to the living room, and a fireplace. (the photos will tell you more than any description). Once in the farm we are aware that there is nature that welcomes us. the mud dirty our shoes . The night is dark and bird singing makes you wake up early.
