In The Wind Hostel & Guesthouse reflects our passion for travel and diversity. We are inviting you to come and share the joys of discovering another country while making friendships with people from all over the world. Welcome to In The Wind Hostel and Guesthouse. We're in the heart of lively, upscale San Pedro, only 400 meters from the University of Costa Rica and the student nightlife of Calle de la Amargura. Our newly renovated hostel is 10 minutes by bus from downtown San Jose and walking distance from San Pedro Mall, three supermarkets and many restaurants at affordable prices! Our 15 rooms are a mix of dormitories and private rooms with WiFi and all of our bathrooms have hot water. We have two full kitchens, plenty of fridge space for your food and free coffee! If you don't like to cook there is also front door delivery service from nearby restaurants You can hang out with fellow travelers in the interior courtyard, or watch students pass by on the outside terrace. If you feel like staying indoors enjoy one of our two TV rooms. No laptop? No problem. We also have three Internet connected PCs so you can upload all of your photos from the beach. San Pedro is a safe, upscale neighborhood in San Jose, so we enjoy taking our guests out for movie nights, skating, city walks and pub crawls on Calle de la Amargura. So if you are looking for a quiet place to lay your head before heading to the beach look no further then In The Wind Hostel and Guesthouse. WiFi, hot water showers, two fully equipped kitchens, help from staff planning trips. I just bought the place and I will be more than happy to great you in my new hostel! :) Compared to downtown San Jose, San Pedro is a nice, clean and safe neighborhood. Guests can walk around at night, there are banks, restaurants, bars and other forms of entertainment nearby. Also within walking distance are bus stops to downtown and Cartago, the commuter train and three grocery stores. Three blocks from the hostel there is a bus stop to downtown San Jose where guests can go from there to anywhere else in the country. There is also a bus to Cartago which makes for a nice day trip. You can also take the train, five blocks away, to/from the Parque Sabana, the large park on the other side of San Jose. 1. It is an old B&B but clean. Floors, surfaces, interuptors, stoves, microwave, tables, accessories, telephone, everything you can touch is washed and di sinfected every morning. The toilets are washed every three hours (daytime). We have our certificate of excellence from the Ministry of Health as well as our fumigation certificate. 2. The downtown is three kilometers from the hostel. Easily accessible by bus, city bike or on foot. 3. You can pay by credit card or debit card, but there is a 5% charge. 4. It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the hotel, the rooms, the garden or the terrace under penalty of immediate expulsion and without reimbursement. 5. Check-in closes at 10PM. For a check-in after 10PM, you must ask us. If we can, then there will be a charge added to the price of your reservation.
