Cabin accommodates up to 8 guests on two floors with and private bathroom. Right on the beach. Stunning views of Mompiche's bay and point break. Access to a communal kitchen, dining area and thatched roof hammock area. Parking space is provided. May arrange horse back rides, jungle tours. Casa Banana maintains a small conservation reserve in the forest behind Mompiche. The cabin is part of a 3-unit complex with a large yard for pets and kids to play. Our set-up is uniquely suited for couples, families, and groups of friends who prefers a bit of open air privacy. It feels like a family complex. We encourage people to mingle and get to know each other if they choose but you have plenty of space for privacy. Guests have access to wifi, a large yard, hammock space, an equipped communal kitchen and parking space. Through organized guided walking tours, guests can visit our conservation reserve where they may see howler monkeys, tucans etc. We reside at the moment on the complex and are very knowledgeable about the area, particularly local surf spots, locally offered services (horse back rides, jungle tours, boat tours/rentals, surfboard rentals etc. We are fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Casa Banana is located in Mompiche's premier neighborhood. Its sandy street gives a quaint feel for the area. There are several buses a day from Mompiche to Esmeraldas, the Provincial capital. From there buses can take you to anyplace in Ecuador. You may also fly from Quito to Esmeraldas on the national carrier TAME. A taxi from Esmeraldas to Mompiche will set you back $80.00. Alternative transport arrangements may be made, particularly during high season. We often take guests to visit nearby scenic sites and culturally interesting villages. We have been in Ecuador and Mompiche for over 14 years. Don Ramon, our Director of Operations and jungle tour guide has lived in the area all his life, including three-years deep in the forest with his wife and family when the only way into Mompiche was by foot or boat. He will explain about useful plants and Mompiche's recent past. We want you to have an enriching visit.
