If you plan to have your own guest/s over, permission from the owner is required and they cannot stay on the property between 11:30pm-6am. We have a strict maximum occupancy of 12 on property. The guests are not permitted to get on or go over the retaining wall by the lake. Nor are they allowed to access the lake from the backyard. Please be with your children at all times. Today, Grimsby is a town of 28,000 people maintaining its small town character. The town has two parts separated by the freeway QEW. Our house is located in the north part of the town by Lake Ontario, which is predominately residential; the downtown area (2km away) on the south side of QEW has many small shops, restaurants, and cafes as well as grocery stores (Food Basic, Sobeys). There are a few big box stores (e.g. Superstore, Costco) with about 5-10 minutes drive. Grimsby is about 28 miles (45km) to Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake; about 56 miles/90km to Toronto. Please note that driving time depends heavily on traffic conditions especially to/from Toronto. Close access to freeway, 2-3 minutes drive to QEW (Exit 71 or 74). 1hr drive to Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) or 1.5hr drive to Buffalo (BUF). There is a Go Bus stop, a long distance bus (Coach Canada, MegaBus), and a train station (Via Rail) in town (with in 3km from the house). Please note that Grimsby does not have local public transportation (i.e. bus). You would need a taxi if arrive by transit. The downtown area is about 2km from the house. It's a 5 minutes drive or 30 minutes walk. We require the names of all adult guests and their government issued ID submitted to Airbnb (we will not see them). This applies to non-overnight staying guests who will be on the property. Parking is available on the driveway, which can accommodate up to 6 cars in tandem. We recommend parking on the driveway to give more space to the runners/walkers and cyclists who share the streets.
