Set among gardens, orchards, pond, meadows, and woods, Edge of Woods is a warm, modern and luxurious guest house which sits on 25 acres bordering a beautiful stream. Observe abundant wildlife and gardens from picture windows. Relax & soak in the surroundings from the patio area, pool side or at night within a magically lit pocket in the woods. Edge of Woods is a one bedroom guest house on a private 25 acre estate. Porch, patio and surrounding areas offer tables, chairs, recliners, hammocks and a seasonal tree pendant light. Hot/cold seasonal outdoor shower and deck tucked among the trees. Living area includes a beautiful mid-century gas fireplace, queen size sofa bed and dining area. Kitchenette with small refrigerator stocked with light breakfast items, Nespresso machine and coffee, electric kettle, microwave and toaster oven. Note, the kitchenette does NOT have a stove, although the barbecue features a side burner (perfect for boiling, sauteeing, etc.) and is available year round. Essential cooking supplies are included. A picnic table, seasonal outdoor food prep area with a sink set within a maple tree are all for your exclusive use. The outdoor shower and prep sink usually closes in October. Year round pond side bonfire pit and smokeless patio fire pit with wood. Luxury bathroom and soaker tub with an unmounted hand-held shower and Malin and Goetz deluxe amenities. Whole house treated drinking water purification system. King size bed in a generous, plush bedroom with seating area and private entrance. Luxury linens, Roku TV, Bose audio, WiFi and forced air heat/air conditioning. The guest house is situated 100 feet away from the main house, with it's own private patio/deck and bbq areas but close enough to access the hosts if there are any questions. Explore our stream-side trail that joins Wilson State Park. Pick apples in our orchards, cool off in the stream or the saltwater pool. Wander the pond and garden areas. Roast marshmallows and stargaze at the pond side fire pit. Hosts are happy to offer recommendations and support. Open countryside, yet 10 minutes from Woodstock village and 10 minutes from Phoenicia village. Explore restaurants, cafes, galleries, boutiques, antiquing and flea markets in nearby Saugerties, Hudson, Rhinebeck and many other picturesque villages. Hunter, Bellayre, and Wyndham ski resorts all less than an hour away. Wilson State Park one mile away. A range of year round outdoor activities include kayaking, tubing, bicycling, skiing and snowboarding. Culture enthusiasts will appreciate abundant music, theater and art venues, including the Woodstock Film Festival, the operatic Festival of the Voice, Maverick Concerts, Mount Tremper Arts, Bard Fisher Hall and Spiegeltent events.
