Magnolia Cottage

Cozy cottage on a three acre wooded property in North Stamford. Main house shares the large circular driveway. A vast wall of windows facing a private garden invites one to relax in the knotty pine interior. Fully equipped. Perfect for a couple. We are available and friendly but tend to let guests have their private retreat unless they want information or help from us. A circular staircase brings one up to the bedroom with private bath. A French balcony with cafe table and chairs is perfect for morning coffee and a Juliet balcony on the other side of a spacious room adds to the country feeling. The cottage has a complete kitchen and washer and dryer. The upstairs of the cottage is a bedroom suite with balcony. The downstairs is one large room with a comfortable furniture and a large desk making the space ideal for a couple or two people each wanting their own space. I am not always home but always "available". I am available and friendly but tend to let guests have their private retreat unless they want information or to share a talk in the garden. The cottage is on a secluded lane. One mile down the road is an old country tavern with great pub food, live music Friday nights and a real New England atmosphere. A cute little country store 1 1/2 miles away has a great deli and prepared food as well as many specialty grocery items. We are four miles north of the Merritt Parkway. There is no reliable public transportation for reaching the cottage. There is no smoking in the cottage and no pets allowed.
