Dragonfly Retreat in the Old Mill, Millbrook, NY

This beautiful one bedroom apartment is the perfect weekend getaway! It is located in Millbrook, NY, in an old mill which was originally built in the late 1800's. It is a 5 minute walk to the village, where you will find restaurants, a grocery store, antique shops and more. This peaceful retreat is great place for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The apartment consists of a full kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath. The entire apartment is yours to use. Make yourself at home! Unfortunately, there are not outdoor areas included in the rental. Millbrook has great parks within walking distance. Guests have access to the entire apartment. They are welcome to use the white robes provided in the bedroom closet. If you do choose to use them, please put them with the dirty laundry basket with towels after using. There is coffee, tea, and creamer available in the kitchen. Enjoy! I try to meet our guests when they come arrive. I can also arrange for the key to be available if you arrive late. I am often local and can help if you need something. Please feel free to let me know if there is something I can do to make your stay more comfortable. The town of Millbrook is a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Take a right out of the parking lot to head into the town where you will find Marona's market, fine restaurants, Merritt Bookstore, Tribute Gardens, and antique shops. There are many local events throughout the year: Horse Events, Fitch's Corner Horse Trials,  Millbrook Horse Trials, Polo Matches at Mashomack Preserve Pine Plains, The famous Orvis Sandanona Shooting Preserve, and more... Garden Areas: Innisfree, Wethersfield Farm, The Cary Institute. Exploring the area: The Dragonfly Retreat is driving distances to Millerton, Rhinebeck, Hudson, Saugerties and Woodstock, Wings Castle, Walkway Over the Hudson, The Berkshires and Catskill Mountain Ranges, all these areas have quaint Antique Shops, Boutiques, and Eateries, too much to list. Art Centers: The Taconic Sculpture Park, Storm King sculpture park, Dia Art Center at Beacon, Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center at  Vassar, Gallery's may be found in just about every town in the area. Wineries: Millbrook Vineyards in Millbrook, NY. Cascade Mountain in Amenia, NY. Clinton Vineyards  Clinton Corners  in Clinton Corners. Grand Estates  along the Hudson River: Mills Mansion, FDR Estate, Val-Kill, Vanderbilt  Estate, Wilderstein, Olana. Driving or walking is the best way to get around town. Plenty of free parking is available everywhere.
