Original 1898 Milwaukee Railroad Train Depot

Historic Train depot built in or around 1898, it is now sitting a few yards from its original site on a side street. Private drive. Full kitchen & bath, living room/bedroom has a queen murphy bed, also 2 single cots avail upon request. 1 block from Mississippi river, park with beach & boat landing. The cottage is on the Mississippi bluff bicycle route. Enjoy the beautiful bluffs and the Mississippi River in SE Minnesota, while staying in a unique tiny house. Easy on and off Interstate 90. easy access to bike trails walking trails. Snowmobile trails close by and ice fishing at the lock and dam and of course in the summer boating fishing swimming on the Mississippi River. We are not far from some of the most beautiful country drives you can find for both automobile and motorcyles, from ridge tops overlooking the mississippi river and down in cool valleys with small streams. Learn about the driftless region with a locally produced film about the area. love to fish we are one block from boat landing. off street parking and will have the cottage to themselves. outdoor space includes a fire pit(small back yard fires no bonfires). a deck to sit on and enjoy the evenings. there is a small playhouse/jungle-gym outside for children. There is generally someone nearby every day. otherwise just a phone call away A small Rivertown with a boat landing, beach and city park. Visit the neighborhood tavern for a couple drinks and great pizza. Go for a walk or bicycle ride down to the lock and damn #7. Visit the larger river towns, Winona or La Crosse for speciality shops, many fine restaurants. La Crosse has several micro brewerys a disterllery, a great historical downtown 3 story antique mall, several theaters and more. Winona has all of the same. Get on a tour boat in either city and see the river with all its beauty. brochures are in the cabin with many destinations and things to do. We do not have public transportation here in Dresbach. If you are arriving by train or airplane car rental available in La Crosse or Winona. We have beautiful paved walking / bike trail to the Dresbach Dam #7 also some high climbs to beautiful overlooks. We are a short 10 mins to LaCrosse WI and 20 mins to Winona MN. La Crosse has LSE Municiple airport and both cities have Amtrak stations, with 2 stops a day. There is one queen murphy bed, but we have 3 single cots available to use. for up to 3 additional guests. There is an additional charge of $10. per night for pets.
