The Mid Century Modernist designed William Wurster residence, and the separate studio originally were frequented by notable politicians, local artists, environmentalists and flamboyant residents fortunate enough to be included in monthly poker games to discuss current events, politics and the local scene starting in the 1960’s. Later the studio was used as a pool house and guest quarters for family members. This studio has its own entrance and sweet private fenced outdoor space with views of the San Francisco Bay. While you may want to get away, you'll still be able to enjoy all the creature comforts: flat screen TV with cable, wireless internet and a fully equipped kitchen. Gated entry to the property and separate off-street parking. Keypad lock on front door Owner resides on the property and is always available should you need them. However I value your privacy and will make myself available only if you need me. I have lived in this area my entire life and am happy to share with you what I love about the area, what to do and what to see. Point Richmond is the ideal mid point between San Francisco and Sonoma/Napa (the wine country) and the Bay Area as a whole. Located in the East Bay opposite San Francisco and Marin. Conveniently located close to hospitals, San Francisco, Marin and beyond. This is an ideal location for visiting professors, executives, medical professionals or those traveling and need a place to just relax after visiting our beautiful sights. Car is most practical form of transportation- This location is a Commuter's dream! 5 Min drive to freeway I-580. Take I-580 West and you'll be on the San Rafael Bridge. Take I-580 East and you'll find yourself on your way towards Beautiful San Francisco. 10 Min. drive to (Seasonal) the new Richmond Ferry. 8 Min drive to Richmond BART Station, 15 minutes to El Cerrito BART stations. 25 Min. drive to Golden Gate Bridge. You can also drive 15 minutes to the Larkspur Ferry that takes you to San Francisco. There is plenty of public transportation, Uber or Lyft can get you where you need to go. We are very centrally located in the Bay Area (map us out!) so nothing is very far, traffic permitting. Easy distance to Sonoma and Napa too! I have two pugs, a mini mutt and a cat. I have them gated below cottage and they spend their time inside or or on the back side of the house. They are exercised twice a day. My previous tenants have not had issues with them and in fact enjoyed their visits, they are friendly and love people. Night time they are kept inside. There will be a handbook available to explain general useful information.
