New 800 square foot cottage with great view of Flathead Lake and Mission Mtns. In the country near quaint town of Polson. Perfectly located in the center of Montana's vacationland. We are excited to share our piece of the Big Sky with you! Want a cozy and comfortable cottage while you visit Flathead Lake and the Polson area? This ground-floor one bedroom/one bathroom cottage is recently renovated featuring new kitchen cabinets, stainless countertops, 42” flatscreen TV with cable, furniture and bedding! The decor, artwork, and finishes evoke a time gone by. Cozy living room area with daybed, dining area and bay window allows you to relax comfortably after a day of hiking or sightseeing around the valley and mountains. New hardwood flooring in the main living, kitchen and dining room makes it easy to keep things tidy. Clawfoot tub and shower combo, pedestal sink and tons of storage make it feel like home! Fluffy white spa towels and luxury linens on the new queen size bed will keep you feeling just fine in the oversized bedroom. There are two twin beds in the corner for flexible sleeping arrangements. The master bedroom has a private entrance door leading to the private patio and BBQ. Watch the local wildlife wander through the yard...deer and fox will surprise you with their bravery! The small reading area off the living room allows you to send some emails or post updates of your trip easily! Small library of Montana books for your reading pleasure! Good wifi, cable television and lots of electrical outlets will keep you connected to home. Kitchen features custom cabinetry and new GE refrigerator/freezer with stainless countertops! We love to cook and so the cottage has everything you need to whip up a meal! Pots, pans, toaster, toaster oven, blender, coffeemaker, cutlery, plates, bowls, utensils and sharp knives! Patio furniture allows you to sit outside and enjoy the garden view and the Mission Mountain range topping out at 10,000 feet above sea level. Full size washer dryer lets you keep the laundry in control. We provide detergent A play pen is available for the little ones. Wall mounted A/C unit keeps all rooms cool in the hottest part of summer and wall-mounted thermostats controlling electric heat will keep you toasty in winter. 800 square feet. You will have access to the entire cottage and it's own little patio and large grass yard to the east. There is onsite parking for three vehicles. My wife Cate and I live in the main house on the property and are available for any questions you may have-either by phone, email or in person. We have lived here for decades and are happy to share our local tips! It's a safe and quiet neighborhood. Summer in Flathead Lake area is dotted with cherry orchards, lakefront bar and grills, boat rentals, breweries, rafting and kayaking whitewater rivers, charter fishing for lake trout, music festivals, golf, art festivals, scenic airplane tours, hiking and dining. The cottage is just 3 miles from downtown Polson, Montana. Winter in Flathead Lake area is filled with cross-country skiing, two world-class ski resorts, snowmobiling tours, breweries and watching the snow fall! The cottage is located 3 miles from downtown Polson, Montana. Polson has grocery stores, liquor stores, pharmacies, galleries, shops, cafes, restaurants and museums. The West Glacier Park entrance is a 60 minute drive from the cottage. Blacktail Mountain Ski Area is a 45 minute drive up Highway 93. The Flathead Reservation museum is a 15 minute drive. Natural, mineral Hot Springs is only a 45 minute drive away. The closest airports are Kalispell [FCA] and Missoula [MSO] and you can easily rent a car from either one! There is some public bus transportation that you can find online for the Flathead and Mission Valley. Uber is another short distance option. 4 Wheel drive is not needed at this location during winter. Closest Amtrak station is Whitefish, Montana and they also have car rentals at the station. The cottage is stocked with a selection of coffee and sugar, dry spices, paper goods, soaps and detergents. For stays we stock a few breakfast items in the fridge. There is a collection of outdoor barn cats that are friendly. If you are arriving later than 6pm; please let us know so we can make arrangements to have the cottage open for you.
