Seven minutes walk to the historic Old Town of Görlitz, seven minutes walk to the train station and ten minutes to the Polish border restaurant area on the relaxing river Neisse. The area has an Edeka, Lidl, Penny, Norma, Netto and Thomas Phillips all within three or four minutes walk. In addition there is an organic shop with cafe one minute walk away located in an old villa complex, now an artist centre. Also, there is a boutique micro brewery on the street and two bars. The main commercial shopping street, Berliner Str., filled with cafes, restaurants and high street shops is located five minutes away walking. Here you can find the tram connecting all the historic sites in the city and its suburbs. Aside from the area being comprised of only historic houses, and monuments, there is a large beautiful square with a playground towered over by the imposing Luterkirche. Other cultural interests on the street include the Photography Museum and Rabryka - a venue for contemporary art and cultural activities. Despite all this, it is very quite and peaceful at night.
