This wonderful, detached lodge, set on the former site of the Bleadon railway station near Weston-super-Mare, can sleep four people in two bedrooms. Westview is a wonderful lodge, set solely on the ground floor, three miles from Weston-super-Mare, on the former site of the Bleadon railway station. The property has two bedrooms, a king-size double room with an en-suite and a further bedroom with the option of being a twin or a double. There is also a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath and a contemporary, open plan living space with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with an electric fire. Outside, through patio doors, there is a veranda where you can watch trains passing from Bridgwater to Bristol and also, a lawned garden with furniture. In a great, rural spot, with a beach and all the attractions of Weston-super-Mare close by, Westview is a wonderful spot for a family holiday. Amenities: LPG underfloor heating and electric fire. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, wine fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, surround sound, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Enclosed decked veranda and lawned garden with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 10 mins walk. Beach 2.5 miles. Note: Lodge is beside the main train line connecting Bridgwater and Bristol, associated noise may be heard. Note: There is an unfenced pond located close to the decked area, children to be supervised. Note: this property does not accept bookings for less than 3 nights. Region: Somerset offers 3 areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Quantock, Mendip and Blackdown Hills. Lose yourself in the glory of nature, take a ride on a steam train, visit a traditional farmers’ market or explore your mystical side at Glastonbury. Town: The traditional seaside town of Weston-super-Mare offers awarding-winning sandy beaches, donkey rides, water sports, restaurants and shops, as well as the Playhouse, Winter Gardens and the Grand Pier offering a year-round programme of shows, musicals and fairs. Burnham and Berrow Championship Golf Course is also close by. Sand Bay, just 2 miles away offers an unspoilt beach allowing dog walking and horse riding all year round, plus Sand Point and Middle Hope, owned by the National Trust and open free to the public are near by. The famous Cheddar Caves and Gorge, with amazing cliff top walks, is only a short drive away, as are historic Wells, England's smallest city and Glastonbury Tor, with its connections to King Arthur. Further afield you can enjoy the breathtaking coastline, cliffs, sheltered bays, and of course the ponies, of the beautiful Exmoor National Park.
