Light and beautifully furnished cottage, decorated in seaside theme. Modern kitchen with all necessary equipment including microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Two bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds. Large lounge with dining area, WiFi, combi-boiler and gas central heating. Key safe for access, dogs and children are welcome. Linen and toiletries provided and NEW for 2018 we now provide luxury towels. Very convenient for harbour, beaches and shops. Parking outside. The cottage is built in traditional stone and is light and airy with a brick extension and is comfortable for up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. There are two double bedrooms, one with a king size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers and the other with a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is a comfortable lounge with a dining area. The modern bathroom has a shower over the bath. Every attempt is made to welcome guests with milk, coffee, tea, sugar and biscuits. All personal possessions of the host are locked away. The kitchen is very well stocked with a cafetière and toaster as well as microwave, oven, hob and grill. The cottage has parking outside and is only 2 minutes away from the local co-op which is open until 10 at night. Amble Harbour and the town beach are only 10 minutes walk away. It is very close to the highly recommended seafood restaurant 'The Old Boathouse' and Harbour Village. Sailings to see the puffins go to Coquet Island in the summer months from the harbour. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player and CD player, smart thermostat and two DAB radios and a large selection of DVDs. There is a modern bathroom with a shower over the bath. Although we welcome children there are no cots/ high chairs/ stair gates provided at present because there is no storage for these items. The outside yard is only for access to bins and the line. All rooms are accessible. At the moment because of coronavirus all cleaning guidelines are being followed in between stays and we are allowing 24 hours between stays to make sure there are minimum risks to health and safety. A housekeeper lives locally. Amble is a very good base for exploring the Northumberland coast and is very close to Warkworth, Alnmouth, Alnwick, Druridge Bay and Boulmer. It is excellent for dog owners as most pubs allow dogs. There are trips from Amble Harbour to Coquet Island where puffins and seals breed. There are buses approximately every 20 minutes to Newcastle and Alnwick. Trains run hourly to Newcastle from Alnmouth and regularly to Edinburgh. There is a good bus service to Newcastle, Morpeth and Alnwick travelling through Warkworth and Alnmouth. Trains to Edinburgh and Newcastle stop at Alnmouth.
