Duifieklip is a beach house close to the beach and sea (35 meters). The house has three en suite double bedrooms and a bunk bed in the TV Room Annex. It boasts a well equipped kitchen, which leads onto a north facing stoep (veranda) with an outside braai (BBQ). In front of the house there is a natural garden with a big rock called Duifieklip, and the sea beyond (bird count 69 plus!). To us, this is a quiet, uncomplicated and welcoming place to relax, in a very special setting close to nature! Kids love to play on the rock (Duifieklip), and in the sand and the shallow pools. Adults also enjoy these activities...., as well as good company and the view from the veranda. Kayaking on the sea is a special experience! We offer various discounted rates for longer stays etc. Come and enjoy Duifieklip! Besides the house, guests have access to the garden in front of the house, as well as the rocks and beach beyond. Guests have unlimited use of uncapped internet and a DSTV premium bouquet. You will be met and shown around the house on arrival. Assistance will be available throughout your stay, if required. The people of the area are friendly and welcoming, as you would experience. We all respect eachother's privacy, and peace and quiet. There are shops (including a Spar) and restaurants within 1km from the house. And please try the fish and chips from the take away shop inside the harbour zone. Activities include swimming, sea kayaking, cycling, hiking or walking , jogging, mountain biking, etc. There are various beaches in the area. And don't forget the birding (and bird watching) opportunities, which are plentiful; from Rocher Pan and Lamberts bay, to the salt pans around Veldrif, and the West Coast National Park. And of course the bird life in the garden and around the beach in front of Duifieklip..... Places to visit in the area include Veldrif (bokkom-bedryf and Berg River Own means of transport would be required. There is no suitable public transport available. We have a couple of canoes that one can use in the calm bay, but all such activities should be undertaken with the necessary prudence and are entirely at the guests' own risk!
