ROES IN VREDE / RUST IN PEACE

When you visit Duinepark in Witsand, you are presented with a promise of peace and tranquility, country living and harmonious co-habitation in a natural setting. Our cozy “Roes in Vrede/Rust in Peace” Cottage is pleasing to the eye and a generally happy place to live and be in. Walking distance to the tidal pool & during low tide the rock pools are alive with sea creatures! A must see during tidal walks when the moon is full. Witsand - the whale nursery of South Africa between May & October! ROES IN VREDE is the perfect hide-away for 2 adults & maximum 4 kids. There are 2 lofts upstairs, suitable for children only (aged 6 and above). The lofts are accessible with a ladder that can be folded away when not in use. Easily accessible on ground level with all amenities, lounge, kitchen, main bedroom and bathroom. Lofts only suitable for not too small children. I will give contact details of my co-host in the village who will be available when needed. Whale season is between May & October each year! Bring your binoculars & camera gear and enjoy the Southern Right whales in our waters. There is a Witsand Market over Easter and Christmas season in the Woolshed. Restaurants in the area include Anchorage on the beach, Riverbreeze near the Breede River and Pili-Pili where you can enjoy water sports at the Breede River Mouth! Deep Sea Fishing Charters is a MUST! Explore the sand banks at the Breede River mouth and find the gem called The Pansy shell. Maximum guests: 2 Adults 4 Children NOT SUITABLE FOR 6 ADULTS
