Cosy comfortable Apartment in the Golden Circle

Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers and families. Beds for 5 persons and a crib if needed. It is a private apartment on a lower floor in a two storey house. Quiet area in the fantastic geothermal town Laugarvatn, located in the middle of the golden circle. Our wish: Feel secure, comfortable and relaxed - just like home. Nice and comfortable private apartment with fully equipped kitchen including a stove, microwave, coffee maker and juicer. Dining-room and a living-room with a double sofa-bed. Two bedrooms, one with double bed and the other with single bed. Total five beds. We provide baby bed and highchairs for our youngest guests. Washing/drying machine is located in a modern private bathroom. 42' Flatscreen with a Satellite dish, BBC, CNN and multiple international stations. WI-FI. The apartment is comfortable for 4 grown persons or max 5 adults. Children are welcome. Access is from behind the house where there is a private parking. The entrance is inside a large private veranda on the lower floor with high fence for privacy. It has chairs, table and more and is facing south. 24/7 - Our private home is on the upper floor which, in most cases, makes us available for personal interaction if needed. Lake Laugarvatn is 5 minutes walking distance away. It is also only 5 minutes walk to the fantastic Laugarvatn Fontana, our wonderful geothermal spa or the Swimming pool which is next door to Fontana. Many health related possibilities are in the area such as walking, running, hiking, cyckling, mountain climbing, golfing or swimming e.g. in a geothermal swimming pool or relaxing in Laugarvatn Fontana Spa. Swimming or fishing in the lake. Grocery shopping is only 5 minutes walk from our house. Restaurants, bar and a coffee shop are close by. Approximately 30 minutes drive to Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall or to Þingvellir, our national park. It is good to have a car as public transport is limited. (Website hidden by Airbnb) Laugarvatn is in the middle of The Golden Circle and a good base to travel around this area for shorter excursions. The best thing to do is ask us for directions when you arrive. There is lots to see here and experience such as our geothermal Fontana Spa, hiking possibilities, walking, swimming or enjoying meals or drinks. 1. To the west: Thingvellir is our national park. There is lots of history there and sightseeing. You can also drive around the lake and take a look at different natural power plants where electricity is produced from water hot or cold. 2. To the east: Gullfoss - a beautiful and large waterfall and Geysir - a huge area with hot spring water erupting from the ground. - Fludir - a small village where there is a secret natural lagoon. 3. To the south and east: Kerid - an old volcano crater. Skàlholt - a Cathedral. Reykholt - a small village where there is Fridheimar, known for tomatoes and best tomatosoup ever. 4. To the south: Selfoss, Hveragerdi, Stokkseyri and Eyrarbakki - different towns and villages. 5. All around us there are different restaurants worth visiting for smaller or larger portions of icecreams or meals.
