Our little cabin is perfect for one or two guests for short stays while visiting local family, touring the areas wineries or nature trails, or for a clean, quiet over night stop while traveling long distances. Explore the Shawangunk Wine Trail, hike Minnewaska, sip cider at Angry Orchard, visit The Walkway Over the Hudson, or sample and shop the areas diverse farm stands and breweries. There is so much to see and do in the Hudson Valley and our cabin is close to it all! Our cabin is your own private, quiet space. They offer a warm, cozy, safe space to rest your head and mind. We have a mini fridge in the cabin with some bottled water, cold and ready for you. We have a microwave, hair dryer and iron for your convenience. We also have a Keurig and provide some coffee pods, tea, creamers, sugar and mugs to make a warm cup of coffee in the morning or tea in the evening. There are plates, silverware, wine glasses and a wine opener, and drinking glasses for 2 people. ** Special note for winter stays… our cabins are close to 100 years old. They have tile floors, and they can be drafty at times. We have a good heating system, but the temperatures in the area have been extremely cold lately. If you’d like to stay in this cabin, please bring slippers and warmer clothes so that you will be comfortable in our space if the temperature outside is extremely cold.** Please note, we do have 4 listings, cabin 1, cabin 2, cabin 3 and cabin 4, so if you are traveling with a family or larger party, be sure to check out availability in all cabins! There are other homes on the property, as well as neighbors, so we ask that are guests be respectful of them. Peace and quiet is of utmost importance, and only the furniture and grill right next to the cabin are for guest use. Please note: the grill is shared between cabins, as well as the picnic table. Anything outside of that space is not included in the rental, and should not be used. We do not live directly on property, so the best way to reach me is with a message through Airbnb. We are always close by if you have a question. We like to give guests their space to do with as they wish and enjoy their stay. One of the best things about our cabin is our proximity to all that the Hudson Valley has to offer. Built by our grandfather in the mid 1930’s, our cabins have provided respite for travelers since the time that the area was being built into what it is today. We are a third generation family business, and we having lovingly renovated these little cabins to continue to provide comfort and hospitality to travelers, visitors, and people working in the area. We are a few miles from Rt. 84 and the NYS Thruway. We are near Beacon and the Newburgh and Poughkeepsie waterfronts, which offer a wide range of dining and drinks with amazing river views. We are roughly 25 minutes from the areas newest attraction, Legoland! Visit and tour Angry Orchard, and sample some locally made hard cider. Visit one our many area fruit farms and pick some peaches or apples right off the tree. Visit a drive in movie theater on a starry Summer night. Hike Minnewaska state park. Get immersed in culture by visiting DIA Beacon or Storm King Art Center, or any of the historic sites Hyde Park has to offer. Follow the Shawangunk Wine Trail and experience the richness of all we have to offer here in the Hudson Valley! Our cabin is in a quiet, set back area, but we are near a major road through the Hudson Valley, making it the best of both worlds. We are private, but close to everything. Car is the best way to get around. We are about 10 miles from Stewart Airport and 90 miles from NYC. You can take the train from Beacon or a bus from Newburgh into the city for the day, while enjoying the quiet setting of the Hudson Valley for the evening. Taxis, Uber and Lyft are available in our area currently. We also have a Hertz car rental location next door to the cabins, where they also rent Budget trucks and Cruise America motor homes, making it convenient to rent transportation during your stay! Please note that our cabins are set back off of a main road that runs through the Hudson Valley. At certain times traffic noise can be heard in the yard. It is not intrusive by any means, but it may be noticeable depending on the time of day. We are set back off the road and are surrounded by trees, but we are not a cabin in the woods. Please note that our rental rates include NYS sales tax of 8.125%. Thank you.
