One of 5 gites on site The property called the Rouge gorge is a delightful 3 bedroom property converted from an original farmhouse.Retaining its beams,wooden floors and stone walls throughout it now offers the modern comforts of home living. The Rouge gorge has a modern kitchen with an overground souillard or cellar The kitchen has all the comforts of home with a gas cooker/oven,dishwasher,fridge/freezer,microwave,kettle,coffeemaker,toaster and a good supply of cooking utensils and crockery. Payable washing machine is available communally.The kitchen leads to a large living room with sofa, two armchairs, tv, dvd and cd player(french and English tv available). Both rooms have wood burners with beautiful stone fireplaces.The cottage has three bedrooms Bedroom one is a double room,bedroom two has twin beds which may be pushed together to form a second double and then this room leads directly through an arch into a third small single bedroom with a single bed. The property has a bathroom with shower,wc,bidet and sink upstairs. Wooden floorboards throughout Outside the Rouge benefits from two terraces one directly outside the kitchen the other offering a covered dining area allowing alfresco eating whatever the weather. The terrace has dining furniture,outside lights and a charcoal barbecue. The cottage is ideal for families,couples or couples sharing and is able to offer many different types of holidays.For families it offers a secure space for children to play with table tennis, badminton, football,basket ball, trampoline and two swing areas to enjoy along with our swimming pools (11m x 7m) and a heated pool (9mx5m) giving guaranteed swimming at 28 deg even in early spring or autumn, the pools are fenced and alarmed For couples wanting a calm environment, then profit from the gardens, woodland walks and a superb restaurant 5 mins walk away For those interested in history this is the region of the Hundred years war with castles,beautiful bastide towns, Sarlat, Domme, Rocamadour and caves in abundance. Alternatively for the more active there are local golf courses, canoeing, the Dordogne river 5 minute drive away, horse riding, tennis,cycle paths, parascending, tree climbing parks,hot air balloon rides and aqua parks.
