This is an amazing getaway only an hour from New York City. Views of the lake from the living room, dining room and kitchen. A deck to BBQ on and a lawn to hang out on, steps from a natural glacial lake with depths up to 15 meters. Perfect for swimming. The lake is 2 feet deep for 15 feet off the shore then increases to over 20 feet deep. Therefore, kids can play in the shallows, while adults can swim out deep. No public transport here, one has to drive. Ridgefield and Cross River are two towns within 6 miles. A neighbor will provide the keys (or in a lockbox) and pick them up after checking out the place prior to guests leaving. This is a quiet residential neighborhood so parties and loud music are not allowed. The only public transport is to take the Metro-North train to Katonah and take a $30 cab from there. This is ideal for a quiet nature getaway. For short stays under 5 days, a $130 cleaning fee is required. For Stays longer than a week, a weekly cleaning is included.
