BEST LOCATION House Close to Boat Ramp & Town

Three miles to local hospital. Best location in Somerset. Located on main highway halfway between Lees Ford Marina and center of Somerset. Large yard to park your boat or classic car. 1953 brick cottage with all of its original charm. Two acres to roam with walking paths and garden art. Absolutely no pets. Please don’t ask. No smoking. Only one bathroom. No washer or dryer. Has high speed Internet with Roku TV with Spectrum App, Hulu, Prime in Living Room only. The house is filled with most of the original furniture from the 1950’s. It was previously owned by a WWII veteran who was a pilot, a fly fisherman, a wine maker, a gardener, and overall interesting person. Items decorating the space are in honor of him. It’s like visiting grandma’s house and has been described as quaint and “very Kentucky”. If you are looking for modern, this isn’t it. Original local artwork decorates the walls in most rooms. There are a couple of acres with a walnut grove and walking trails with a park like atmosphere. There is a fire pit for use when allowed by local laws. There is a basketball goal. There is a gas grill with gas for use if you clean it afterwards. You will have the entire house. Private entrance with self check in. We live just next door and are available if you need anything. My art studio/workshop is located on the property so you May see me walking across the yard. We are located on the main highway halfway between Lees Ford Marina and the center of Somerset. Fishing Creek Recreation area is a couple of miles away with a boat ramp also. There is a Dollar General Store, Convenience Store/Gas Station, and Liquor Store within a mile. You really need a car to get around Somerset. Some people do walk to the Dollar Store, but there are no sidewalks. Previously mentioned elsewhere, there is no washer/dryer. The house was built in 1953. There is only one bathroom with the original fixtures with the exception of a new toilet, plumbing lines, shower-head, and water heater. All floors are hardwood with area rugs. The kitchen is ceramic tile. Check in is at 3pm unless I haven’t booked the night before and check out is by 11am strictly due to cleaning lady schedule. We hope you will leave the place in the same condition as you found it. Put dirty dishes in dishwasher and start cycle. Bag trash and put in trash can out back. Put used towels in the tub. Leave used beds unmade. Cleaning supplies are provided.
