The house was originally built in 1890, and a complete gut renovation took place the past two years. Privately nestled between a whiskey distillery and an 80 acre organic farm, experience breathtaking views of the Shawangunk Mountains, while relaxing on the back deck taking in beautiful sunsets. A short 2.5 miles from Water Street Market, and plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops to explore in town. Walk, run, bike the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail which is a stone throw away from the front door! Guests have access to the entire house and yard, and will be the only ones on the property. Two bedrooms and two full baths. Brand new modern kitchen & professional appliances, washer & dryer, and radiant heating system throughout entire home. Both bedrooms have vaulted ceilings with 200 year old beams. The house has been fully renovated with modern industrial elements, and lots of love. We treat our home like a sacred space and do not wear shoes indoors. We ask that you do the same. Please use the side entrance and remove shoes in the laundry room area upon entering. Enjoy our peaceful backyard oasis. There is a large deck for lounging and dining, grill, bon fire area, & hammock to relax in under an old maple tree. We have wifi and smart tv (but no cable). We hope the natural light, peace, and tranquility of our home, quiet dead end street, and surrounding area will rejuvenate your spirit! ***The entire house is backed up on a standby generator! We are always available via Air BnB messenger, text or phone. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything at all. We love to give recommendations. Should any issue arise that needs to be attended to immediately, we have someone available who can assist. New Paltz, NY is central to everything you would want to do and only 90 miles from New York City. You can access the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail right at the end of our street. Walk or bike straight to Main Street or Water Street Market from the house, or head to the nearby farm to see the animals, have a drink, and farm fresh food. You can also walk to the neighboring whiskey distillery. Just a few minutes away from the River To Ridge Trail, 8 minutes to Mohonk Preserve, and about 15 minutes from Minnewaska State Park. Enjoy an abundance of farm stands, hiking, climbing, local breweries & wineries, apple orchards, and amazing nearby Hudson Valley destinations. Take a quick drive to the neighboring towns of Rosendale, High Falls, Gardiner, Stone Ridge & Kingston. Also, just a short drive away to Beacon, home of Dia Beacon, Storm King Art Center, and the Walkway Over The Hudson. We provide a detailed list of activities and recommendations. A car is recommended to explore local destinations. You can walk or bike the rail trail from the house to town (2.5 miles). To access New York City, you can take a bus from the Trailways station in New Paltz, or the train from Poughkeepsie or Beacon. Taxi's and Uber are available in the area.
