Oak View Manor The Teal Suite

This is 1 of 3 private suites in the courtyard of the stately circa 1917 main house. It has a queen bed, ensuite shower, and kitchenette with basin, bar fridge, microwave, kettle, and basic utensils. WiFi, full DSTV, and fan/heater. Own porch, with bench and courtyard, nearby braai area, and secure walled parking beside your unit. Join us in the house restaurant, home pub, comfy lounges, or under the oak to dine and relax at leisure, or order to your room. This stately century-old Cape Dutch home under its giant oak rivals the very best the Western Cape has to offer. Sensitively restored with you in mind and beautifully decorated you will want to spend hours here, as our day visitors often do. The Teal Suite has vintage damask and regency stripe wallpaper and a solid old enamel cast iron bed in mustard yellow. You'll find everything you need in your self-catering room, and we can do laundry for you on request (at your own risk), or tumble dry items for you, all at a small additional charge. You'll have your own set of keys and gate remote. Our suite guests are most welcome in our house restaurant, home pub, large garden, and outside entertainment areas under the giant oak and on the sundowner deck. There is a large courtyard near the suites for braaing and relaxing. If it's privacy you want, the suites are ideal as they're tucked away behind the main house. They have generous ceiling to floor curtains for privacy between the bedroom and kitchenette which is curtain free. There are clean fluffy gowns in the wardrobe that you can wear when you're in the kitchen, and you can come and go as you please. We are very hospitable though, should you be keen to socialise, and whenever we are around you're welcome to join us in the main house parlour, lounges, pub, or under the giant oak. This is old Heidelberg central, very near everything in town, safe with gated parking, and peaceful with plenty of birdsong. It's a small town and you could literally cycle everywhere should you want to, walk to enjoy the centre of town, and take a short drive to site see or explore. You are free to smoke, but kindly do so outside on your patio, in the garden or in the outside entertainment area.
