STAR CITY GETAWAY, Apartment 2 This is a one bedroom efficiency apartment in downtown Roanoke. The building was formerly a brick corner grocery/drug store built in the 1930's. It has been fully renovated into three new apartments. The apartment has an open living area with fully stocked kitchenette, sleeper sofa, and table with chairs. The sleeping area has a queen bed and armoire for hanging clothes and a bench for your bags. The living room area has a sofa bed for additional sleeping space. A washer and a dryer are in the apartment for guests to use. We are available by phone, text, and Airbnb messaging 24 hours a day. Star City Getaway is centrally located with walkable access to breweries, restaurants, the Roanoke greenway, Grandin Village, and downtown. We are also extremely close to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. This is a great location for visits to Roanoke College, Hollins University, Virginia Tech, and Radford University. The Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, Mill Mountain, and many more access points to outdoor recreation are just a short drive away. It is very close to the Taubman Museum of Art, The Harrison Museum of African American Culture, Roanoke STARCADE (new and vintage arcade games) Roanoke Pinball Museum, Kids Square Children’s Museum, and many more fun attractions in Market Square in downtown. From here you can walk on sidewalks just about anywhere or bike just about anywhere, Roanoke is a very cycling friendly town.
