Sky view room in Keflavik

Cozy vintage/retro room near by Keflavik airport and Blue lagoon. In walking distance from most service in Keflavik like grocery shop, restaurants/take away, swimming pool and more. COVID 19> Not suitable for quarantine time due to border rules since part of our place is shared. This cozy but bright vintage/retro style room is in the attic on 3rd level in an old family house in Keflavik. It is equipped with 2 single beds and a drawer. The apartment is decorated in a vintage/retro style which makes it a bit unique, after all it was built 1956 so it has a sole. The house entrance is private for that apartment but from the main door there are stairs to the 2nd level and again stairs from the kitchen up to the attic. This place is perfect as a first or last stop in Iceland since it is only 7 minutes from Keflavik Airport. There are many beautiful places near by and lots to see and experience but the house is in walking distance from the center of Keflavik, from amazing swimming pool with hot tubs, from the sea and the harbor where you have panoramic mountain view. In short walking distance you may find restaurants/take away as well as whale watching tours and more. It is also very near to all service like grocery shop, bank, liquor store, pharmacy and more. From here it is perfect to take day tours to the Blue lagoon or take the Golden circle. No smoking in the house itself but it is possible to get a fresh air in front of the house if needed;) Free parking on the street in front of the house. We, a family of five, would be honored if you would stay with us. Feel free to ask if anything since we are more than happy to help or give advice if needed. Shared spaces are> 1) Two bathrooms, one on 2nd level and on in the attic. 2) Kitchen where you can cook and use the equipment in it and put food in the fridge. There is coffee and tea in the kitchen window and a kettle to heat water. Food in the kitchen is private. 3) On 3rd level in the attic you may also find this unique and amazing cozy Arabic corner which is shared by others as a chill out place. We are in walking distance from most services like a bank, grocery store, restaurants, take away and more. Most restaurants are in Hafnargata. What you might want to see near us is: *The Viking Museum - can walk there but quicker to take local bus *The Rock N' Roll Museum - walking distance *The Giantess cave at the harbor- walking distance *The Blue Lagoon - 25 min. drive from our place *The volcanic action in Fagradalsfjall *National airport of Iceland - about 7 min. drive/1 hour walk *Lighthouse in Garður, but Garður is a small town near Keflavík Other things to see: *Reykjavik capital city of Iceland - takes about 45 min. - 1 hour by car/bus 55 *If you drive to take the Golden Cyrcle you can add a bit to that cyrcle and drive through Grindavík town and start from there. On your way to Reykjavík you will drive through Hveragerði town but from there it´s possible to hike a bit to a hot river in Reykjadalur Valley. One of the towns you might drive through is Selfoss but from there you can drive to Flúðir town where The Secret Lagoon is or so called Old Lagoon. It´s not that expensive and less commercial too but still extremely beautiful. *There are so many more places but internet can be helpful to find some hotspots on your way around Iceland too. Parking> There is parking on the street in front of our place in Solvallagata for free Public transportation to and from KEF airport> 1) Bus nr. 55 leaves from a stop station close to KEF International Airport and our nearest stop station is Midstod near Netto grocery store and it takes like 7 min. to get there but it only operates from early morning until late at night. See the website for further i (Email hidden by Airbnb) From there it takes like 4 min. to walk to our place. 2) After the bus stops operating it is always possible to catch a Taxi. Options to walk> It takes like 40 min. to walk to our place but can take longer depending on how fast you walk or which way you go.
