Lovely contemporary accommodation. Light and airy double room with bifold doors overlooking the garden. Located in picturesque village with 2 cafes, local pub, post office and cash machine. Walk or short drive into Market Harborough, local town with a great selection of pubs, shops and restaurants. 1 mile from train station with direct service to Leicester and London St Pancras. Surrounded by beautiful countryside with plenty of walks and outdoor activities. Recently built garden room with kingsize bed, ensuite bathroom, Wifi access & SmartTV. Please note that the TV works through wifi & not an aerial. You can therefore watch any programs through freeview & any smart tv applications that you have an account with (for example bbc iplayer, ITV hub, netflix, amazon prime etc). We will aim to meet & greet when possible. The accommodation is self contained & sits within our garden. It has it's own independent access so you can come and go as you please. There is a key safe, so late check in is available. We are located on a quiet cul-de-sac right in the heart of the village. Great Bowden offers you the best of both worlds -a lovely country village feel but with all the amenities and convenience of a small town nearby. Market Harborough is a beautiful market town with a fantastic selection of shops, pubs, bars and restaurants. Great Bowden has everything you need, we love it here. Nothing is more than a couple of minutes walk away! Bowden Stores - fantastic coffee house & homeware store. Weltons - Cafe & deli with post office & cash machine. Shoulder of Mutton - local pub. Lively Tennis & cricket clubs, both situated in the pretty local park with kids playground. And if you fancy stretching your legs there are loads of lovely country walks in and around the village or you can walk along the canal into Harborough. We are also surrounded by lots of idillic villages nestled in the Welland Valley, many with local pubs and cafes. Slightly further afield you have Oakham & Rutland Water, very popular with cyclists and runners! Ideally situated bang in the middle of the country, Market Harborough is a great place to meet up. Easily accessibly by road or train. 15 minutes from Junction 20 of the M1 Train station merely a mile down the road with direct access to Leicester (10 mins), Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield and London St Pancras (1hr). Regular buses in & out of town from the village green.
