Croft House is a convivial and spacious Victorian property which has been lovingly restored with original features from its past. The ground floor accommodates for day-living with two joined living rooms, an open fire, a kitchen & a dining room. The upstairs features five bedrooms, six beds in all, a family bathroom with a toilet and one en-suite bathroom in the master bedroom. You will find hotel-quality beds and an uncluttered feel throughout. Special notes for EMPLOYERS, we do not accommodate for employees i. o. w. NO WORKERS. However Croft House is perfect for a ‘staycation’ and for those who want to combine a holiday with working from home. It is a detached house with fiber broadband, dedicated parking, front & back gardens. Responsible guests are welcome with their cats & dogs (please bring their beddings). Pets are not allowed upstairs in bedrooms. The garden is NOT enclosed. Plenty of walks from the door step. Own car parking for 3 smallish cars or 2 SUVs. Any more vehicles would need to park on the village hall's car park located across the road. The property can accommodate a total of 6 GUESTS IN ALL. This number includes CHILDREN, INFANTS, BABIES, those IN COTS , TWINS etc. Due to the current pandemic and to reduce risks as much as possible, at arrival, i will only meet one member of your group. Meeting will take place outside. Please wear a mask. In Welney you will be able to appreciate the outdoors. The Welney Wetland Centre is just over two miles away and with a fair wind you can feel the beating wings of a half dozen Whooper swans as they fly in formation above you. Many miles of walks away from roads along the waterways of the Welney Washes are available just two minutes from the front door. The views are magnificent. Local attractions include Ely’s Cathedral, Oliver Cromwell’s House, the Stained Glass Museum, and the Prickwillow Drainage Museum which tells the history of this fascinating area. We are about 20 miles north of Cambridge and the old Hanseatic port of Kings Lynn. Within an hour you can be on the North Norfolk Coast, taking in the royal Sandringham estate along the way. The village pub across the road is an old-style inn renowned locally for its food. The Fens's flat landscape and straight roads are great for cycling. With a good pair of walking shoes, you will be able to walk for miles alongside waterways starting straight from the front door. A pair of binoculars are not to be forgotten either. The only pub in Welney is conveniently located just opposite Croft House across the road. Welney Wetland Trust is 2.5 miles down the road. One not to miss.
