The garage is off-limits, except the laundry area, as it's currently being used for storage/workshop plus all the cleaning supplies are here out of children's reach. Entry is well lit, level & inviting with flowering pots. The grassy, enclosed backyard has plenty of room to play, BBQ and relax. I'm only a phone call away to help with your stay. Wherever you're coming from, one of the first things you'll notice, how friendly everyone is. With all the traveling I've done New Mexico is right up there as a great place to live & make friends. Our home is in a safe, quiet area of town. There are several grocery stores a mile or two away, and in a pinch, there's a Dollar General and gas station one block north. FYI the front door faces north! Alamogordo is a small easily navigated community, & traffic is light. El Paso is the closest airport, so if flying in, drive NE on Hwy 54, you'll arrive 90 minutes later. Las Cruces is an hour SW on Hwy 70, check out the Sat. Farmer's Market or Mesilla Plaza. White Sands National Monument is on the way. Head E. on Hwy 82 into the mountains to visit Cloudcroft or N. through Tularosa will take you to Ruidoso. Safety Notes: Smoke and CO detectors are installed, but it's important to know there is a fire extinguisher & first aid kit also, check the Guestbook for locations. The home has a fireplace but has not been listed as an amenity. It has not been inspected and therefore should not be used. Please remove shoes before going upstairs to help keep the carpets clean.
