Haddock's End has been renovated to a high standard and is located close to the coastal path, offering excellent walking, pure Atlantic air and a choice of local, real ale Inns nearby! Pendeen Lighthouse and beautiful beach at Portherras Cove is a short walk away. This area is famed as the birth place of author Rosamunde Pilcher and for the filming of Poldark. This area of Cornwall is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The stunning scenery on your doorstep has wonderful opportunities for bird-watching, walking, surfing, cycling, swimming, scuba diving and rock climbing. Children will love to see the beam engine in action & learn about our mining heritage or swim in the Geo-Thermal pool in Penzance! Walk along the dramatic coast or walk on the moors to ancient archaeological sites which include Iron Age settlements, stone circles and neolithic quoits. Enjoy eating local produce at fabulous restaurants nearby or buy fresh fish from the trawlers at Newlyn to cook at home.
