2 bedroom country cottage newly decorated with rear garden and parking available. Laurel cottage is situated in the peaceful countryside yet just 5 miles from the busy shopping town of Ballymena. There are excellent transport links available with Belfast International Airport 22 miles away (28 minutes by car or taxi) and George Best Belfast City Airport 37 miles away (40 minutes by car or taxi) with the port of Larne only 27 miles away. If travelling by car the cottage is situated 1.5 miles from the main dual carriageway (A26). The scenic North Coast is a mere 30 minutes drive away where you can visit the beautiful Whiterocks beach, Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge and Dunluce Castle all of which have become a favourite for locals and international visitors. From the town of Ballycastle (22 miles away) you can board a boat to the idyllic Rathlin Island. You can enjoy an afternoon exploring the towns of Portrush and Portstewart with the famous Whitehouse department store for shopping. The are also fine restaurants and wine bars should you wish to sample the local cuisine. Royal Portrush Golf Club which is home to one of the best and most challenging links golf courses in the world is also situated in Portrush and was the only club in Ireland that played host to the Open championship. For those fans of Game of Thrones, the Dark Hedges and Ballintoy Harbour are 17 and 26 miles away respectively. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with walk in shower and a bright and welcoming kitchen with dining area sitting up to 6 persons. A microwave, kettle, toaster and all cooking utensils,crockery and cutlery are provided for your convenience. The lounge has a 3 seater sofa and 2 single chairs with a large flatscreen television and DVD player. The cottage has WiFi throughout. A utility area with laundry facilities including a washing machine and tumble dryer are available for guest use and are located adjacent to the main house. Helen or myself will be welcoming all guests and answer any questions you may have. We will then be available by phone or text to help with any questions or issues that arise as we want to ensure you have an enjoyable and comfortable stay, The cottage is semi detached with my parents living next door. The nearest village of Cullybackey is 2.5 miles away and is home to the 4 star luxury Galgorm Resort and Spa with Gillies bar and restaurants located within 163 acres of lush parkland. The best way to get around is by car or taxi, however the nearest village of Cullybackey 2.5 miles away has all public transport links including bus and rail station.
