Hidden Hamlet, wonderful walks and cosy cottage
The Barn is in an idyllic setting, hidden in a small hamlet, it is peaceful and quiet, in the middle of rolling countryside with far reaching views and a stream running alongside the farmhouse. St Just, a small town with a couple of pubs, cosy tea shops, an old historic church and Kurt Jackson's stunning gallery is a couple of miles away The surrounding area is perfect for coastal walks, close to magnificent beaches such as Sennen and great for visiting places like the Minack and Cape Cornwall. The kitchenette and lounge area in the Barn are upstairs so you can benefit from the amazing views. It is light and warm with a very retro feel, furnished with restored cupboards from the 40's and a few other lovely finds from that era. The shower room and bedroom are downstairs, both very spacious. They have a more modern décor. Guests have their own entrance to the Barn, separate from the main building so it feels private and is not overlooked. They have the top part of the garden to themselves where they can enjoy eating and relaxing outside. There is plenty of room for parking on the drive. I will be available to help guests with any queries during their stay, if they need any information about the area, where to visit or places to eat. Lower Bostraze is tucked away, far from any built up area. There is no noise other than some bird calls, the stream and the breeze or of course strong winds in bad weather! On a busy day, there might be tractor in the distance or a plane flying across to the Scillies! The nights are very dark which makes for amazing star-gazing on a clear evening but if it is foggy or wet and raining, the Barn is a warm and cosy retreat! The nearest train station is Penzance, about 15 minutes away, a bus service will stop at the top of the lane but it is not very frequent, taxis are available from St Just and it is advisable to book them in advance.
