Small empire near the city - Studio Apartment

Large guest room (studio) with private bathroom and small kitchenette in an absolutely central location in Detmold. It's about a ten-minute walk to the train station, only two minutes to the nearest bus stop and just a five-minute walk to the city centre. The Hochschule für Musik is about 15 minutes' walk away and the theatre is just around the corner (650 m). The guest room is approx. 22m² in size and offers you a bedroom, living room, workplace and kitchen all in one. From the room window you can look directly into the large garden and in summer you will be woken up by chirping birds at most, because the house is in a completely quiet location, but still central to the city centre of Detmold. You will find a restful sleep in the 140 x 200 cm bed. If it should be too cold at night, simply take the additional blankets that are ready for you in the wardrobe. Bed linen (also for changing) is of course also available. In the living/study area you have a large vintage kidney-shaped table and two original 60s cocktail chairs. Here you can also comfortably eat your prepared meal. Speaking of which, there is now also a small kitchen in the little kingdom - equipped with a fridge (very quiet at 38dB!), an oven, an induction hob (with matching cookware), a kettle and a microwave. To start the day, you also have the possibility to make a fresh cup of coffee (or tea) in the small kitchen. You can also enjoy it in the lounge corner in the garden. There is a bathtub in the large bathroom, but it is only suitable for showers. Unfortunately, the water pressure of the instantaneous water heater does not seem to be sufficient for a hot bath. When the bathtub is full, the water is only lukewarm. But hot showers work perfectly! - Laundry can be done by arrangement. There is also a launderette nearby. About the house: Besides my mother Hildegard and me, there are two dogs and two cats living in the house. Even though the furry noses do not stay in the guest room, the accommodation is not suitable for people allergic to animal hair. ...and last but not least: We want our guests to feel completely comfortable. That's why we welcome feedback and suggestions on what we can perhaps do better. :-) The house is an old building and is located in a small side street. Since it is not directly on a street, there is unfortunately no parking space at the house. If you arrive by car, park on the side street and unload your things. You can park your car for free about 10 minutes away on foot. I would be happy to tell you where the insider tip is. Otherwise, there are direct parking options in the side streets or in the "Lustgarten" multi-storey car park (five minutes' walk). Attention! There is a charge for these parking options between 8 am and 7 pm from Monday to Saturday! New: I can now offer you the "Blue Parking Card". This allows you to park in the direct side street for a daily fee of 3.50 €. The "Blue Parking Card" is loaded with credit and you have to insert it into the parking ticket machine, press the plus button and press the green button when the display is correct (correct date). You have your parking ticket for the car. Just let me know before you arrive if you want to use the "Blue Parking Card". I will then charge it and you give me the € 3.50 in cash. The house is very quiet and surrounded by greenery. Nevertheless, you can reach the city centre on foot in about five minutes. Everything within walking distance. Bus stops are just around the corner(s). Unfortunately, there is only paid parking nearby. The nearest free parking is about a 12-minute walk from the house. Since requested from time to time: The room is NOT offered as an hourly hotel. People allergic to animal hair should better not book, as it cannot be guaranteed that a pet hair will get into the room.
