18th century stone gite with parking and terrace Forcalquier close Citadelle
This charming stone gite was originally a stable in the 18th century. Several decades ago, it was lovingly restored and converted into a home. This 80m2 gite is on two levels and can be found in the old part of Forcalquier, right next to the 14th century Porte des Cordeliers. It is close to everything yet tucked away enough to remain quiet even in the busy summer months. Restaurants, shops and the bustling Monday-morning market are extremely close but as the gite is at the end of a quiet road you're unlikely to be disturbed. On the ground floor is a 40m2 open-plan kitchen, dining and living room. On the first floor are two bedrooms, a large landing and bathroom. If you come in the cooler months, there is a wood burner on each floor and radiators in the bedrooms and kitchen. In the warmer months you can relax on the terrace at street level just in front of the gite.
