Enjoy the quiet intimacy of a stay in a fully restored cozy house in the middle of a 2 hectares wide plateau of green fields on the top of a 430 m hill, and is surrounded by 8 hectares of chestnut and oak woods. A big lap pool (20 x 3.5 x 1.40 m) offers exercise as well as refreshing relaxing. It is located in the middle of the wide garden and lawn, in a place that is sunny all day, but is also close to the shade of tall walnut trees and a white rose pergola. The recently restored rustic two-storey Tuscan house has maintained its warm atmosphere, where the old and the new combine harmoniously. Unlike most Tuscan farmhouses, this house is filled with light, thanks to its large windows and its grill-walls made of old terracotta bricks. The house is extremely cool even during summer months (it is not unusual to sleep with a blanket even in August) and comfortably warm during the colder seasons, thanks to a floor heating system. On the ground floor there is - a bedroom with a queen-size bed (140 x 200 cm) - a bathroom with a shower - a fully-equipped modern kitchen - a living & dining room with a fireplace - an outdoor wattle ceiling pergola surrounded by the garden lawn equipped with table, chairs, barbecue grill and armchairs. On the first floor there is a suite - with a king-size bed (180 x 200 cm) - a reading niche with an armchair and a lamp - a bathroom with a shower - a little porch with table and chairs, where guests can enjoy overlooking the property and garden. The guesthouse can host a max. of 4 people in 2 bedrooms. But if you want more friends and / or relatives to be with you, other bedrooms are available in the adjacent farmhouse. The additional 4 double bedrooms in the farmhouse are only available to guests who are renting the guesthouse. Pictures of those additional rooms are available if requested. The nearest town is Anghiari (4.5 km), a medieval village in the Tuscan Upper Tiber valley, which has been selected by the Italian Touring Club and by the “I Borghi più Belli di Italia Club” (The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy Club) as one of the “most charming small towns in Italy”. Few people know that the Upper Valtiberina is where Renaissance began. Here, in Sansepolcro - 8 km from the house - is where Piero della Francesca was born and where you can admire his Early Renaissance paintings, which anticipated Michelangelo and Leonardo DaVinci's artwork. Close by you can discover the place where St. Francis spent most of his life, Chiusi La Verna, as well as many other monasteries and churches that are off the beaten track of mass tourism, yet are extremely relevant, charming and perfect for a short trip out. Day trips include other nearby fascinating and famous Tuscan locations such as Arezzo (30 ’), Cortona (40’), Montepulciano (60 ’), Siena (90’), Florence (90 ’). Or Umbria and Marche destinations such as Assisi (50 ’), Gubbio (70’), Perugia (60 ’), Urbino (90’), Todi (100 ’), Orvieto (120’). The nearest travel links: Airports of Perugia (60 km), Florence (120 km), Pisa (180 km), Bologna (180 km), Rimini (180 km), Roma (260 km) Train stations: Arezzo (30 k
