La Casetta di Dora - Independent cottage with a breathtaking view of the Conero

La Casetta di Dora is an enchanted place: a small orange house that seems to have come out of a fairy tale. A refuge for those seeking silence and tranquility, without sacrificing comfort. Spacious and welcoming, renovated respecting tradition, it is located on a hill of sunflowers and olive trees. By day it is surrounded by butterflies, by night it is immersed in the song of crickets and nightingales. The Casetta consists of bedroom (4 beds), living area (kitchen, living room and 1 sofa bed), bathroom and a large porch. Equipped with air conditioning, it is surrounded by a large garden, kept on lawn and fruit trees. The house is located in a dominant position on the Maceratese hills, a few kilometers from Recanati (birthplace of Giacomo Leopardi, one of the greatest Italian poets) and almost halfway between the Conero sea and the Sibillini mountains. Recently renovated, however, it keeps intact the characteristics of the Marche house: ceilings with exposed wooden beams and terracotta tiles, terracotta floors, porch with climbing plants. For the winter, it is equipped with gas heating but also with a beautiful cast iron stove, for those who love the warmth of wood (wood supplied on site). From the porch, where you can have lunch and enjoy the silence that fills every moment of the day (and night), the view sweeps over the surrounding hills: wheat fields, expanses of sunflowers and meadows of alfalfa, olive and oak trees, perched villages and towers, as far as the eye can see to Monte Conero, whose profile you will find in front of you, imposing and beautiful, even just by opening the bedroom window.
